Who can be a member?
Persons who accept Bylaws, Code of Professional Ethics and other regulative documents of NIPA, who accept its objectives and goals and satisfy the mandatory admission criteria, can become the members of NIPA.
There are following types of membership in NIPA:
- Full members;
- Corporate members;
- Honorary Members;
- Young accountant.The individual can be admitted as a Full Member if he/she has:
1) Higher university education in economics field and professional experience in accounting during at least 3 years (or college education and professional experience in accounting during at least 5 years); and
2) Successfully passed appropriate examinations and possesses at least one of the following qualification certificates (licenses):
- Russian qualification certificate of the auditor, or of professional accountant - main accountant, or of professional accountant - financial director; or
- Internationally accepted professional certificate or license (CPA, ACCA etc.)
- Academic degree of the Doctor in economics or in law; or academic status of professor in profile areas.Legal entities can be admitted as Corporate Members if they:
- Are educational institutions that prepare specialists in economics and financial fields;
- Auditing and other companies that specialize in financial, accounting and other related services;
- Other legal entities that accept goals and objectives of NIPA.Individuals and legal entities can be admitted as Honorary Members if they made a valuable donation that helped in reaching objectives and goals of NIPA. The decision on admitting as a Honorary Member is made by the Presidents Council of NIPA.
Type of membership "Young Accountant" is designed for students who study accounting at the last years at University and have successfully passed qualification examinations and received the special certificate from the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia.
The membership in NIPA does not limit professional activities of its members, in any other way than is indicated in Bylaws and Code of Professional Ethics.
The list of NIPA members is annually published in mass media.
