Training Centers for Accountants

The Work on Creation of Examination System and
the System of Continuous Professional Education

At the moment when NIPA was established there were 4 training centers for professional accountants working on the territory of Samara Region:
- Samara Institute of the Moscow State University of Commerce;
- Training center #61, at the present time Samara Institute of Russian State University of Trade and Economics - Training center #419;
- International Educational Foundation 'Volga Academy of Business and Management' - Training center #72;
- Samara State Academy of Economics - Training center #76;
- Educational Methodological Center - #118.

In June 1999 under support of NIPA the following institutions were accredited as training centers for professional accountants on the territory of Samara Region:
- Training center of the Department of Federal State Employment Agency in Samara Region - training center #166;
- Municipal University of Nayanova - training center #180;
- Samara Humanitarian academy - #182;
- International Institute of the Market - #185.

In July 2000 Samara Institute of Management was accredited as training center #271.

In 2001 the following Institutions have passed the accreditation process:
- Samara Institute of Business and Management - #309;
- Training center 'Professional Accountant' - #322;
- Training center 'Attestat Profi - #323;
- Training center of accountant and auditor - #340;
- Training center 'ALEX-Center' - #344;
- Training center 'Business education' - #359.

In 2002 'The Center of Qualification Improvement' from the Novokuybishevsk town was accredited as the training center #441.

In 2004 11 training centers for professional accountants had sufficient activity on the market of preparing of accountants and providing continuous professional education for them. These centers are located in Samara, Togliatti and Novokuybishevsk cities of Samara Region.

According to the agreement between NIPA and the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia the following points are the responsibilities of Samara Institute:
- providing the training center with the recommendation for accreditation as the registered training center for professional accountants;
- preparation of documents for teachers certification;
- organization of qualification examinations process;
- organization and coordination of CPE for the members of CIPA.

All accredited training centers for accountants are corporate members of NIPA and receive methodological and other assistance from NIPA. In particular, during year 2004 accredited training centers and other educational organizations NIPA presented about 4500 units of scientific and educational literature on the gross sum of more then US$ 12000. From the Institute Of Professional Accountants of Russia for these purposes were received 1000 units of literature on the sum of US$ 3500.
